Usawa Afya – Balance Health Initiative

Usawa Afya is a health and wellness organization committed to reducing Africa’s growing burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes, hypertension, and depression. We combine health education, fitness, nutrition awareness, and policy advocacy to make healthy living accessible and practical for all. By linking research, community empowerment, and policy change, we help people live healthier lives while strengthening public health systems.

Delivering culturally relevant fitness programs in schools, workplaces, and community spaces. Offering practical health and nutrition education through workshops and mobile platforms. Normalising mental health care via peer support and local leaders. Bridging research and policy so decision-makers act on community realities.
